The Great Neck Martial Arts Center is a State
of Virginia Corporation, doing business as (or transacting as “t/a”) Juko Kai -

Beikoku Ryu is licensed as an official
recognized association by Juko Kai,
International, Inc.- the only non-Asian Japanese
recognized martial arts association.
We emphasize traditional martial arts training in several styles of
karate, aiki-jutsu, kobudo (weapons training) and
ninpo, all aimed at deepening traditional values
coupled with the Olympics ideal.
Beikoku Ryu operates a non-profit martial
arts program which issues rank sanctioned by Juko Kai International, Inc. We do not issue school or local “dojo
certificates”. All promotions are
countersigned by the Chief Instructor (8th Degree Black Belt), the
Senior Instructor, and two 10th Degree black belts. We will also offer promotion
certificates from the USA National Karate-do Federation, Inc., the National
Olympic Governing Body.

All participating students can expect to make
Black Belt in approximately 3 years
by normal attendance at Great Neck Martial Arts Center. Each student will
promote once they have learned and memorize 75% of their requirements which is
about every two to three months. The program is geared to normal attendance at
least 3 days a week, with regular testing and grading at 10 to 12 week
intervals. With regular attendance and a good martial art spirit you can be
accepted into our National Black Belt
Club which allows you to receive special individualized training with Sensei
Ronald Smith directly. Students are also permitted to obtain additional training

We are a member program of the National Association of Professional Martial
Artists (NAPMA). The Purpose of NAPMA is to dramatically increase the number
of people enjoying the benefits of good martial arts training. The goal of this
education is to help instructors provide safer, more professional, age
appropriate programs for their students. Our dedication to creating a martial
arts industry unified by a commitment to safety and professionalism is revealed
in our multi-pronged efforts to reach and help as many schools as
possible.
Our Black Belts are required to maintain annual membership with Juko Kai International. For each Dan ranking to rate in another martial art and maintain their original art that they received their first black belt in. It encourages all of our Black Belts to be professional instructors and to continue to learn and grow in the large martial arts community. Our goal is to provide excellent training and reunify all martial arts as one art as it first began.
Juko-Kai is a family-oriented martial arts organization that has schools and
representatives in numerous foreign countries. We have long been recognized as
one of the foremost martial arts federations in the West, serving as the Western
Headquarters for the International Okinawan Martial Arts Renmei (IOMAU),
the Juko-Kai/Seidokan Japan Martial Arts Renmei, and housing an authorized Ninpo division under the direct sanction of Masaaki Hatsumi, 34th Headmaster, Togakure-ryu
