When you enroll your child in our Young Samurai After School Program, we'll provide more than just quality teaching and academic support. We'll teach your child martial arts.
Studies have shown that martial arts lessons can improve confidence and develop the leadership skills they need to succeed in life. Most of all they'll gain high self-esteem that is proven to result from martial arts training as we teach it in our exclusive Young Samurai Program.

We have run this after school program for about five years spending four of the programs years at the local recreation center to help "at-risk" youth 6-14 years take part in low cost martial arts class. Now we have expanded to our new facility to benefit Men, Women, Children, and Families ages 3 and up.

Your Child will "Learn to Earn" at our Martial Arts School In today's world of immediate gratification, it's harder to teach children the value of working towards goals and satisfaction that comes from a job well done. Our Young Samurai After School Martial Arts Program focuses on reinforcing traditional martial arts values such as trying one's best and never giving up. Our Students take pride in hard work and achieve their belts the old fashined way. They Earn Them!
We are Tidewater's Premier Olympic Style Karate Training Facility located in Virginia Beach, VA. We encourage and motivate your child while teaching them how to have an Olympic attitude and learn the importance of Olympic values. Having a winning attitude will help your child achieve their goals and dreams. Every thing they learn from street safety, self defense, point sparring, or competition spirit it is encouraged they go out to try their best. We teach your child the importance and rewards of becoming an Olympic Athlete.
Cookie Club Academic Achievement Program Every Student is required to bring in their report card as part of their promotion requirements. Our Staff will monitor your child's progress in school and always encourage them to try harder each and every time. If a child is faltering in a specific area we will either assist them in getting thier grades up or send them to a professional that might be able to help them to achieve good grades. The Students also learn about healthy competition because the first student that turns in their report card gets to be President and chooses the activity.
We reward each student in two ways by giving them a patch to wear on their uniform Academic Achievement. If they recieve honor roll the whole year they earn and Academic Achievement Patch with the Year. Every time they try their best each child will be treated to an activity on the School. We have gone to play mini golf, see movies, play Laser Tag, go Bowling, and much more.
Young Samurai Leadership Program Every student enrolled in our Young Samurai Program gets to go through a 20-1 hour sessions to learn about how they can be leaders right now in their own community. The Start Something Youth Program is a program developed by the Tiger Woods Foundation and Target Corporation for all children ages eight to seventeen. The primary purpose of this program is to help young people across the United States to strive to become better persons of charachter with a strong set of core values. The program seeks to further aspire youth to attain their dreams and goals one step at a time, and to communicate to youth that through hardwork and belief, achieveing these goals and dreams is possible. During this program they will also complete their community service (Action Project).
Another aspect of the Young Samurai Leadership Program they are required to be involved in upcoming fundrasiers for the Project Action Foundation, Inc. - We help set a World Record and raise money for local "at-risk" youth to recieve scholarships for martial arts lessons at Great Neck Martial Arts Center. Upon Completion of this program your child will recieve a certificate of completion of the Start Something Program and a chance to qualify for a scholarship to help your child achieve their dreams, a special patch for their uniform, Induction into our Gold Leadership Program where they learn to use martial arts to become a leader.
We are a member of the National Mentoring Partnership Our Staff is commited to providing your child with the help they need. Our staff are highly trained, well educated Youth Specialist that spend extra time when not training or teaching being involved with the school and have made a commitment to read and educate themselves so that they can better serve you and your child's needs. Please feel free to be involved in the training any misbehavior at home is reinforced by the instructor with the parent present. Good Home Conduct is encouraged and rewarded. We require all students to finish a to-do list of chores that has to be completed by the parent. We teach all children to take personal responsibility and remember to listen to your parents because they are to be respected like Black Belts and they know what is best for you.

Being accepted to the Samurai Black Belt Club program will offer
you exclusive gear to show your achievements in our school. Becoming a member of
the Black Belt Club Program is like being accepted to Harvard. It requires a
certain level of dedication, commitment, self-control, and personal achievement
to attain. This program teaches that if you work very hard you can accomplish
just about anything. Your also get to recieve extra special training classes and
additional requirements to pave your path towards Black Belt
