Lily is still our youngest at age two. She completed her obedience
classes and passed her Canine Good Citizen and Therapy Dog tests.
My husband is certified with Molly and I am certified with both Lily
and Molly. We go together to a local nursing home twice a month. The girls love it. They think
the nursing home is a special place designed for them to walk around and be loved and petted.
The patients there are mixed with resident long term care and short term patients, making the
transistion from hospital to home. So we have a few regulars and many new faces each time we go
for a visit. It is a wonderful place and the staff, patients and family members of the patients
all seem to love the dogs coming by for a visit. Of course, some folks are not dog people, but
they don't mind having someone to stop by for a few minutes to chat. We always enjoy it, and
always leave smiling and the girls sleep in the back on the way home. They have a special small
RV that they ride in when it is time to go out for an excursion.
A Little History on Lily
Lily, is my first basset hound and she can be a challenge, but she is also so much fun!
She draws people to her when we are out for a walk. She loves everyone especially children.
