Montgomery County, Maryland 2006 Property Tax Analysis and Projection

Now easier and more accurate than ever before (but not verified by any formal tests).

Quickly learn the effect of proposed property tax rate and tax credit changes on your 2006 Montgomery County, Maryland property tax. In addition, if you have a mortgage (where the mortgage company disburses the tax payment), you can see the change in your monthly mortgage payment immediately instead of waiting until the end of the year for your annual escrow analysis.

Use your results to provide more effective input to the County Council

You can email the Montgomery County Council at county.council@montgomerycountymd.gov. Tell the County Council the results that you obtained when you analyzed your property with the property tax projection spreadsheet. (Copy and paste the results of your online spreadsheet into your email.) You can use the numbers for your property to demonstrate to the Council how a tax credit for resident homeowners (similar to the credit issued in 2005) is a more effective measure for providing tax savings than just a tax rate cut. The Council members really do read and consider the correspondence that they receive.
